2025-2026 CEHS Kamm Fellowship Application

Deadline for Application: January 24, 2025

In addition to basic required criteria that include full-time or equivalent enrollment in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program, the following criteria are considered in the selection process:

1. Potential to make a long-term professional contribution to higher education

2. Potential for remaining in a professional partnership with the program and its
students.

3. Ability to represent the program professionally to both internal (students) and
external stakeholders.

4. Status in the program: Preference is given to advanced PhD students.

For HESA faculty consideration only: demonstrated ability to conduct/complete independent high quality scholarly work in a timely manner; evidence of successful collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds; and experiences representing the HESA programs through scholarship and/or professional activities. Some consideration of financial need.

Note: Full-time HESA faculty members are not eligible as references for the Kamm Fellowship. HESA affiliated faculty may serve as a reference when specifically providing insight into the applicant's contributions to student affairs and/or higher education (e.g. through assistantship, internship, residency work, etc.); affiliated faculty members should not be used as references when addressing only the applicant's classroom performance.

2. A one-page to two-page letter of interest containing the following four components, which must be clearly identified:
* Current role in higher education, including current institution;
* Long-term professional goals;
* Interest in being awarded a Kamm Distinguished Graduate Fellowship; and
* An explanation of how, as a graduate of the program and a Kamm Distinguished Graduate Fellow, one would continue to contribute to the program and its students.
