CEAT Innovation Award Project Proposal

The purpose of the CEAT Zink Center Innovation Hub is to help students launch companies at OSU. Participation in the CEAT Zink Center Innovation Hub will help students learn networking skills and build professional networks that last beyond graduation as well as understand industry pipelines related to their interests. Students who participate in the CEAT Zink Center Innovation Hub will be experienced and dynamic leaders who enter various industries with business and engineering experience that extends far beyond the classroom.

The Zink Center Innovation Team program is uniquely different from traditional student clubs or project-based classes. The goal of each Innovation Team is to eventually “graduate” from the Zink Center and become a real business. Entrepreneurship is a difficult but rewarding pursuit, and the motivation for participating students to complete their projects in the Zink Innovation Team program must come from an internal personal drive as opposed to an external motivation such as a class grade. Projects will live or die solely on the motivation and vision of the team members.
